House rules

Keeping entries valid
One entry per personNearly every set of official rules voids entries made by script, bot, or multiple addresses. A daily-entry sweep means once per calendar day, not once per hour.
Use the AMOEThe alternate method of entry is the no-purchase, no-donation path, and it carries the same odds as a paid one. Most are a free web form. Where the only free route is a posted card, the ticket sits behind the Entry switch — set it to All or Mail-in and every count on the page moves with it.
Your state is the catchAlmost every giveaway names the states it is open to, and the lists differ wildly: a supermarket runs in five states, a national brand carves out three. Prizes over $5,000 trigger registration and bonding in New York, Florida and Rhode Island, so those three get cut most often — but Utah, Virginia, Michigan and Washington all turn up. Set your state above and every ticket is judged against its published geography. No badge means provably open to you; unverified means the sponsor published only a bare "US" and nobody has read the rules yet.
Expect the 1099Prizes over $600 ARV are taxable income and the sponsor reports them. On a car, the tax bill lands before the title does.
A real sweep never asks for money — or your SSNEntry forms ask for name, address, email, phone and date of birth. Never type a Social Security number, a bank account or a card number into one; no legitimate promotion needs any of them to enter. The same goes after a win: a notification asking for a processing fee, a shipping payment or gift-card verification is a scam, including one wearing a real brand's name.
Autofill is not a free passSponsors ban entry automation at the level of method, not count — one scripted entry voids as fast as fifty. ECS Tuning names browser autofill outright. No autofill means don't; autofill ok means the rules are silent on it.
Fill the form in yourselfSweepWatcher keeps none of your details — there is nothing here to copy from, by design. Type them into the sponsor's form, or let your browser's own autofill do it except on a ticket tagged no autofill: those rules void an entry a program filled in, and two of them require every field to be keystroked by hand.
That Instagram ad you sawThe post is the advert, not the sweepstakes. Real brand giveaways run on Gleam, SweepWidget, ViralSweep or Fooji, and their rules reach this board through the sources below. One that exists only as a post, with no rules page and no sponsor entity, is the one to walk away from.
Keep a burner-ish inboxEntering puts you on the sponsor's marketing list by design. A filter or a dedicated address keeps your main inbox usable.
